Every tiger has a unique stripe pattern, just like human fingerprints. It helps the tigers camouflage themselves and blend into the dense forests when stalking their prey.

Along with their thick fur, Siberian Tigers also have almost a mane around their face as the hair grows most densely there. Extra fur on their paws acts like snow boots to protect them from the cold and ice in their wintery habitats.

They use their claws to communicate with each other and to mark their territory. They create scrape marks by raking the ground with their hind feet and leave claw marks on trees. You can also see this behavior at work in your cat when they scratch the side of the sofa or the back of a chair.

Big paws, big claws, big teeth. Tigers have canines that can grow up to three inches long. A male Siberian Tiger can weigh up to 700 lbs and can consume up to 100 lbs of food at one sitting.

Tigers are constantly in motion, so it is rare to capture them like this, still and silent, just surveying the view around them.
